My dog has been eating Merrick for years with no issues, so it’s super frustrating that the last few bags have been so different?? The smell was off, the kibble sizes were all over the place, and it ended up upsetting his stomach. I reached out to customer service, but they basically just told me it “met standards”... which doesn’t really help when every bag feels like a guessing game!!! I’m done with it at this point.

I used to think this was a decent buy, but at the current price, it just doesn’t feel worth it to me anymore. Maybe if it were on sale or came with a bit more, I’d feel differently, but for what you get right now, it seems way too pricey.

I’m not sure if it’s just my bag, but the kibble pieces seem really big and way too hard. My dog is having a tough time chewing them, and they feel rough compared to other foods we’ve tried. Has anyone else noticed this?

My dog definitely liked the taste and had no problem finishing his bowl, so compared to some other foods we’ve tried, this one passed the picky-eater test easily. The bag also showed up in good shape, which I appreciated.
That said, after a few days I noticed his poop was softer than it is on his regular food, and he was a little gassier too. It wasn’t awful, just noticeable enough that I ended up mixing it with his old food longer than I normally would. I can see it working great for some dogs, but for mine it wasn’t quite the best fit.

they never seem to have the food my dog eats in stock anymore. it’s frustrating because i count on being able to grab it when i need it.

I’ll start by saying I do actually like the food, which is probably why this was more frustrating than it might have been otherwise. The meals have been good and I haven’t really had complaints there, but when I ran into an issue with my order and tried to get help, the whole customer service side felt slow and a little disappointing. I sent an email explaining what was going on, and then it was just several days of waiting around before I heard anything back. When they finally replied, the answer didn’t really address the main question I had, so I ended up having to follow up again and basically explain it all over. It wasn’t some huge disaster or anything, and I did eventually get a response, but the process felt a lot more drawn out than I expected. For a company with food I otherwise enjoy, I really wish getting a clear answer from support was quicker and easier.

The bag ripped open again, or at least it feels like it’s happened before. I mostly just remember the food ending up all over the place and me having to clean it up. The packaging seems way too flimsy for what’s inside

The ingredients just don’t seem as good anymore. Disappointing.

I switched my dog over to Merrick and within a few days he had really bad diarrhea that just wouldn’t let up. I ended up taking him to the vet, who told me to stop feeding it right away. I also tried reaching out about it, but I felt like I had to chase them just to get any kind of response, which made the whole thing even more frustrating. Definitely won’t be buying this again.

I used to hit up Merrick when I wanted to switch up my dog’s food, but lately the options feel super limited. It’s like the same flavors and same types every single time I check. Not much for picky pups or dogs with special needs either, which is frustrating. For the price, I expected way more to choose from. Kinda disappointing, not gonna lie...

I tried Merrick because my dog has a sensitive stomach and some skin allergy issues, but it seemed to make things worse. After about a week, he was itching more and his poop got soft, so I had to stop feeding it. I reached out to customer support, but the responses were generic and didn’t really help. I also got the feeling there were extra costs or fees kind of buried in the process, which didn’t sit right with me. I won’t be buying it again

I’m done buying this. There have just been too many food safety concerns, and at this point I don’t feel like I can trust the recall updates anymore. Not worth the worry for me...

To be fair, my dog did seem interested at first, but the texture of this wet food has been really inconsistent. One can is super soupy, the next is dry and chunky, and it just feels all over the place. After a few tries, my dog stopped wanting to eat it, which was disappointing.

My dog ate it without any fuss, so I’d say it was okay. It’s not his favorite flavor, but every dog has their own preferences, so that’s not really a big issue. I’d probably still keep it in the mix for some variety.

My order showed up way later than expected again. I feel like this keeps happening, and I’m wondering if anyone else has had the same issue with their deliveries?
